FAQ

Questions you might have.

Straight answers about Kvasi, from the two people who make it.

Reading & learning

Will my child actually learn to read?

Kvasi teaches reading through systematic synthetic phonics, the method most reading research supports, taught through stories and quests so it never feels like a lesson. We build on the approaches the evidence backs, as enrichment for every child, and never promise a particular result, each child learns at their own pace. — The Kvasi founders

What method do you use?

Systematic synthetic phonics: children learn letter sounds, blend them into words, and build to full stories, the same structured approach used in schools. — The Kvasi founders

What ages is Kvasi for?

Kvasi is built for children 4 to 10 today. It suits early readers and children building confidence alike, and the world keeps growing as new realms open. — The Kvasi founders

My child already reads. Is it still useful?

Yes. Beyond early reading, the realms build vocabulary, comprehension, reasoning and a love of stories. — The Kvasi founders

Does it teach more than reading?

Reading comes first, but the wider world adds maths, science and reasoning as your child grows. — The Kvasi founders

Screen time

Isn’t this just more screen time?

It is screen time that gives something back. No streaks, no hooks, no endless feed. Built for short, calm sessions. — The Kvasi founders

How long should my child play?

Kvasi is designed for short, focused sessions. There is nothing engineered to keep a child on longer than they should be. — The Kvasi founders

Are there ads or things to buy?

Never. No ads, no in-app purchases, nothing locked behind another payment. — The Kvasi founders

Safety & privacy

Is it safe and private?

Completely. Kvasi is a closed world for children 4 to 10, with no open internet, no user content and no strangers. — The Kvasi founders

Can my child talk to strangers?

No. There is no chat, no messaging and no way for anyone outside to reach your child. — The Kvasi founders

What data do you collect?

Only what runs the learning. We never sell or share your child’s data, and you are always in control of the account. — The Kvasi founders

Do you follow children’s privacy law?

Kvasi is built to respect children’s privacy laws, including GDPR-K. In practice that means a nickname instead of a real name, no date of birth or age, and card details that never reach us, Stripe handles payment. — The Kvasi founders

Membership & pricing

What does it cost?

The beta is free while we test it. After that, fifteen pounds a month per child, ages 4 to 10. Everything included, no in-app purchases, nothing to unlock. — The Kvasi founders

Can I use it for more than one child?

Yes. Each child has their own profile and progress, at £15/month per child. — The Kvasi founders

Is there a free trial?

The beta is free while we test it. When Kvasi opens properly, parents get a 30-day free trial, then £15/month per child. No lock-in, cancel any time, and if you stop using it we pause the subscription rather than keep charging you. — The Kvasi founders

How do I cancel?

You can cancel any time, from your account. No lock-in, no fuss. — The Kvasi founders
